How we got started

Kelly Markham was introduced to a fundraising concept through an old friend, Andrea Brown. Along with Andrea's husband, Tim being PGA Golf Professional combined with her strong business background, they developed a successful fundraising company called Miracle Golf Concepts. Kelly and her husband, Ken, being no strangers to charitable fundraising, were extremely impressed with the tried and true strategies Tim and Andrea had created. Ken and Kelly have been directly involved with one of the largest annual organized motorcycle charity rides in the country over the last 10 years and know exactly what is involved with organizing and managing any type of charity event. They chose to try on the Miracle Golf Concepts system during a time of need for 2 of their personal friends. In less than 60 days for each event, they utilized the Miracle Golf Concepts process and raised substantial amounts of money relative to the time invested and amount of money they raise compared to their ride. With these successes under their belts, and their love for motorcycling, Motorcycle Miracles was born.

It all began for Tim and Andrea as an "idea" in 1999 while Tim was working as Golf Pro at a Country Club when he began to look for ways to help his customers raise more money for their cause. Year-in and year-out, Tim had watched frustrated event organizers work hard for months convincing golfers to play and pay an expensive entry fee. Then the organizers would worry over detail after detail only to raise $7K - 15K. Tim was also interested in giving something more meaningful to the golfers in his tournaments besides a golf shirt, hat and goody bag. There had to be a better way...and there was.

Many successful fundraising events proved the concept worked. That "concept" has been going strong now for over nine years. The success of Miracle Golf Concepts led to the development of Miracle Concepts which hosts walks, runs, bicycling, etc. and is now the parent company to Motorcycle Miracles. Many of our customers loved the approach so much that they began to ask us to do non-golf events for them too. Miracle Concepts Intl (MCI) and Motorcycle Miracles is the result of those requests. These are the "facts" about how Miracle Concepts came to be...but the truth is that Miracle Concepts was born out of our desire to love and help people. Our names "Miracle Concepts", Miracle Golf Concepts, and Motorcycle Miracles comes from the countless miracles we have seen take place through our events.

We have been humbled to see families who are dealing with terminal illnesses - smile through their tears - when they receive a check to cover their medical and living expenses.

And

We have been honored to have a role in helping various non-profit organizations' raise money to search for a cure for the incurable.

And

We have been inspired to watch faith-based groups raise money for orphans, the homeless and the hungry.

And

It has been fun to watch both parents and children work together to raise money for the needs of their school or sports team
